Tony Acree

An award-winning publisher, novelist, screenwriter, and radio host, Tony leads Hydra Publications from near Louisville, Kentucky. Under his direction, Hydra has been recognized for excellence as an independent press.

Michael Knost

Michael Knost is a two-time Bram Stoker Award® winner and Will Rogers Medallion Award winner who has written across multiple genres and edited dozens of anthologies. His latest novel, One-Armed Bandit, was named a finalist for the 2026 Spur Award. In recognition of his contributions to literature, the governor of West Virginia recently presented him with the Distinguished West Virginian Award. Michael’s many other honors include the Silver Hammer Award, the Dark Scribe Award, the Imadjinn Award, HWA’s Mentor of the Year, and the J.U.G. (Just Uncommonly Good) Award. He was also inducted into the inaugural class of the Imagination Hall of Fame. His novel Return of the Mothman was adapted for film, and he continues to teach writing classes and workshops. Michael lives in Chapmanville, West Virginia, with his wife and daughter.
