Inward Journeys

About the book

Inward Journeys

With Inward Journeys, his first volume of poetry, Tom Wallace ventures back to the beginning, to the form of writing that began it all for him. In the beginning was the word, and for Tom, the word was always poetry. This collection of poems dates back to the mid-1960s and goes through to the mid-1990s. Influenced by such diverse poets as François Villon, Arthur Rimbaud, William Blake, T.S. Eliot, Allen Ginsberg and Leonard Cohen, Tom takes us into love’s bright light and into the heart of those dark truths we all must face at some point in our life. Inward Journeys is, in the final analysis, a spiritual quest for that state of grace Tom calls the Magic Calm.
