What began in a two-car garage as Saturday toy-building sessions between a father and his five-year-old son grew into a practical guide for other families. These sturdy wooden toys are designed as weekend projects for beginning and intermediate woodworkers, progressing from simple builds to more challenging designs as skills and confidence grow. The projects use no metal fasteners: pieces are pinned, joined, or assembled with non-toxic adhesive. The book invites adults and children to build together while supporting a larger mission, with proceeds benefiting the Home of the Innocents in Louisville and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
