Beginning with the Oklahoma land run of 1893, Salt Fork Stations follows a largely fictional family whose lives unfold along the Salt Fork River in northern Oklahoma and southern Kansas. Inspired by family stories and historical research, the novel traces nearly a century of homesteading, hardship, change, and survival through 1970. Personal struggles intertwine with the region’s history to create a multigenerational portrait of the people who built lives on the high plains.
