Chris Day’s life was perfect when he was twelve. Twenty years later he is divorced, unemployed, and struggling to reconnect with his own twelve-year-old daughter, Liv. He returns to his grandmother’s California dairy farm hoping for a fresh start, only to find marijuana fields, homemade explosives, disappearing livestock, and a grandmother waging war on squirrels. His childhood friends are no longer the people he remembers, Liv is sneaking out at night, and the local wildlife is becoming frighteningly aggressive. Going home is difficult under the best circumstances. It is worse when genetically modified killer squirrels are eating the town.
