JAY ERICKSON

JAY ERICKSON grew up in the Midwest before joining the United States Air Force at the age of nineteen. An avid reader since childhood, he holds a deep love for all things fantasy and science fiction, and writing has always been his true passion.

In 2015, he took that passion further, joining the Halsbren Publishing team. His most recent full-length novels include Pariah and Recreant, part of the Blood Wizard Chronicles series, and is also the author of several novellas including the Wayfarer Prince series. In 2017, Jay entered the gaming world with the release of The Wild Tide, a full adventure module, and followed up in 2019 with Shadow Profiteer. Jay has also contributed several monsters to the Pathfinder© Roleplaying Game as well as short stories to several other anthologies, including Missing Pieces and Unsheathed.

Jay currently resides in Northwest Indiana with his wife, two children, and his old English “Bulldogge.”

After liberating herself and others from slavery aboard the warship Bella Dahlia, Marissa, daughter of one of the famed Dons of Castile, and an orc warrior named Rusalka, return to Marissa’s home only to find her family murdered and a warrant placed on her head for crimes she did not commit. 

Marissa vows to avenge her family and flees back aboard the Bella Dahlia intent on clearing her name and the games of her crew. Before long they unveil a sinister plot that has been put in motion. And the window for her vengeance and the salvation of the seaside city she calls home is closing as quickly as the rising tide.
