NEW YORK TIMES & USA TODAY BESTSELLING AUTHOR RICHARD A. KNAAK OFFICIALLY CONTRACTS WAR OF THE DRAGON MOON — LATEST IN THE REX DRACONIS SAGA — WITH HYDRA PUBLICATIONS!
Richard A. Knaak, author of some sixty fantasy novels in a career spanning more than thirty years, has officially contracted the latest in his popular Rex Draconis saga with Hydra Publications and Tony Acree, publisher. Known for his work in Dragonlance, Warcraft, Diablo, and more, he is also the author of the long-running Dragonrealm saga and the critically-acclaimed Black City Saint series. War of the Dragon Moon is the fifth and next-to-last novel in the Dragon Moon Cycle of the saga, with all previous novels also published by Hydra.
This deal comes on the heels of contracts with Hydra to produce the audio versions of Rogues Gallery — a pulp-style urban fantasy — and Firedrake, the first novel in the Dragonrealm saga. Firedrake is expected to be available in audio early Spring. The first omnibus for the Dragonrealm world — Legends of the Dragonrealm — was just re-released by Simon & Schuster under its Saga imprint and became an SFBC January choice.
“I’m glad to be partnering with Hydra and Tony, with whom I have a great relationship. Looking forward to continuing the saga. There’s some surprising twists coming up for the characters.” – Richard A. Knaak
Rex Draconis: War of the Dragon Moon is expected to release later this year, likely in the Fall. Updates will be announced.
“Hydra Publications is thrilled to continue to build on our great relationship with Richard and continue the telling of the Rex Draconis epic fantasy story.” – Tony Acree, Publisher
